Food Bank Oshawa

The
Salvation Army Community & Family Services Oshawa Food Bank 
is available to anyone living in Oshawa and Port Perry. The Food Bank runs by appointment only. Please call Heather at 905-723-7422 and press ‘1’ for food bank information. Days and times can change, but generally run Monday afternoons and  Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

We are located at 45 King St. E. Oshawa across the street from The Regent Theatre, entrance is off Albert Street at The Community and Family Services door. 

Regular Food Bank Oshawa Hours 

The food bank is running by appointment only. Please call Heather for an appointment at 905-723-7422 ext. 221 Days and times can change, but generally run Monday afternoons and Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

  • Identification (ID) for every member of the Household
    • 1 piece of photo identification for adults (health cards are acceptable)
    • Health cards or birth certificates for children
    • Immigration paperwork
    • proof of address, income & rent only if requested.
    • grocery bags

Consider doing a Clothing & Food Drive at your Home, School, or Business

We are always in need of

  • canned vegetables
  • canned fruit
  • canned pasta
  • spaghetti sauce
  • tuna
  • peanut butter, jam, spreads
  • tea, coffee, sugar, whitener
  • soups
  • rice
  • powdered milk
  • cereal
  • school safe snacks (bars/pudding/fruit cups)

Food can be dropped off at Our Thrift Store 
at 45 King St E Oshawa Monday - Saturday 10 - 4

or  The Salvation Army Church
at 570 Thornton Rd N Oshawa

We are located at 45 King St. E. Oshawa. We’re across the street from The Regent Theatre, enter off Albert Street at The Community and Family Services door.

The Salvation Army Oshawa Food Bank is available to anyone living in Oshawa or Port Perry who experiences a food shortage. Appointments are available to make the service more accessible to clients who are working or in school.

Clients are provided with a 3-4 day supply of food, which includes non-perishable food and fresh food when available. Hygiene and infant supplies are also available.

In addition to providing food, clients are referred to Community and Family Services programs and community resources as necessary, and are provided with spiritual counsel whenever possible.
