SPORTS
At The Salvation Army Church in Oshawa, our sports programs are about more than just activity—they’re opportunities to build friendships, grow in teamwork, and honor God in all we do. Whether you’re on the court, the ice, or in the gym, every game is a chance to develop discipline, perseverance, and community. As Scripture reminds us:
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” — 1 Corinthians 9:24
We encourage everyone to participate with energy, joy, and a spirit of encouragement, striving together while keeping Christ at the center of every activity.
MONDAY MEN’S NIGHT FLOOR HOCKEY
Men’s Floor Hockey is a great way to stay active, connect with other men, and enjoy some friendly competition. Join us Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of exercise, teamwork, and fun. Open to anyone 18 and older, this is a relaxed and welcoming environment whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to get back into the game. It’s more than hockey—it’s a chance to build friendships, encourage one another, and enjoy community both on and off the gym floor.
SATURDAY ADULT PICKLEBALL
Join us Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the church gym for a fun and welcoming time of adult pickleball. Whether you’re learning the game or have played before, this is a relaxed, non-competitive environment focused on enjoyment, light exercise, and connection. Between games, there’s plenty of opportunity to chat and build friendships. It’s a great way to stay active, share some laughs, and be part of community together. Ages 18+
