Beyond the Blue Horizon

Beyond-The-Blue-Horizon

Day and night show evidence of God’s creative hand –
I see His wonders everywhere;
But the Bible promises a pure and fairer land:
By the grace of God, I shall be there!

Beyond the blue horizon
There’s another world, I know,
Where the “born again” shall go,
Meet the Lord who loves them so;
Beyond the blue horizon
There’s another world, I know,
By the grace of God, I shall be there!

Jesus died – I never knew the love He had for me,
The burden of my sin to bear;
Now by faith, a citizen of Heaven I will be:
Wondrous grace of God, I shall be there!

Time will quickly vanish and your life on earth be past;
To stand before God’s throne prepare;
In that Home of Heaven all so glorious and vast,
By the grace of God, shall you be there?

Need a lift today? Whether that’s because of the extra-long winter some are experiencing, or other personal circumstances, maybe this vibrant song will bring some cheer as it reminds us that a better world lies ahead.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is September 30th

THE SALVATION ARMY OSHAWA LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Salvation Army Oshawa acknowledges the many Indigenous nations with longstanding relationships with the territories upon which our Church and our Community & Family Services are located. We acknowledge the land is covered under the Williams Treaties, and is part of the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

These ancestral and treaty lands; the present-day home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people is where we meet, share hope, and build community.

We reflect on knowing the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home. We are treaty people, it is our privilege to build relationships through reconciliation.

While we cannot undo the past, we are committed to a different future and doing our part to contribute to an equitable, just, and grace-filled society.
