Day and night show evidence of God’s creative hand –
I see His wonders everywhere;
But the Bible promises a pure and fairer land:
By the grace of God, I shall be there!

Beyond the blue horizon
There’s another world, I know,
Where the “born again” shall go,
Meet the Lord who loves them so;
Beyond the blue horizon
There’s another world, I know,
By the grace of God, I shall be there!

Jesus died – I never knew the love He had for me,
The burden of my sin to bear;
Now by faith, a citizen of Heaven I will be:
Wondrous grace of God, I shall be there!

Time will quickly vanish and your life on earth be past;
To stand before God’s throne prepare;
In that Home of Heaven all so glorious and vast,
By the grace of God, shall you be there?

Need a lift today? Whether that’s because of the extra-long winter some are experiencing, or other personal circumstances, maybe this vibrant song will bring some cheer as it reminds us that a better world lies ahead.

Howard Davies [2]The author and composer, Howard Davies, was the son of Salvationists. He showed musical ability early in life, playing the violin at the age of seven and later receiving the Associate Musician of Australia (violin) diploma. As a young adult, Davies worked as a bank clerk, and was the Bandmaster at Camberwell Salvation Army Corps in Victoria, Australia. In 1966 he became a full time Salvation Army officer and subsequently served in appointments in Australia and England, including corps (pastoral) work, being on staff at Australia’s Training College, and working in the Music Editorial Department at International Headquarters in London. He has written numerous songs for both songsters(choirs) and congregations, as well as compositions for brass bands, one of which is Beyond Blue Horizons. This suite contains not only the above song, but also There’ll Be No Sorrow in God’s Tomorrow and the well-known Do Lord. Enjoy singing along with the recording that follows!
