Christmas registration was available November 12th – 26th, in person at The Salvation Army Oshawa Church for those who live in Oshawa and Port Perry area only that had not applied at other agencies as per details below. Registration is now complete and is closed for 2025.

These dates are for Christmas Assistance registration. Our Christmas Assistance program is separate from food bank and requires in person registration.
Food bank registration and booking cannot be used for Christmas Registration.
Toy assistance is provided for children ages 0 – 13. You’ll Need to bring the following to qualify for toy assistance:
- proof of address
- all sources of income (social assistance, employment wages, child benefits or any other income)
- proof of housing expenses (e.g., rent or mortgage)
- Proper Identification must be provided for all members in the household including children.
Registration for Christmas Assistance can only be done in person at 570 Thornton Road N during the above dates/times.
Registration first come first served. You may arrive to find just a few or, a lot of other people there at the same time so please pack your patience. For Toy assistance you will need to prove you are officially a low-income household and will need to bring proof of address, all income sources such as social assistance, employment wages, child benefits or any other income. Proof of housing costs (Rent/Mortgage information) is required. You must also bring physical ID for every person in your household – photo ID for adults such as driver’s license, Ontario ID card, passport, or PR card.
